The first section of the Parrizal route runs along an unpaved road. It is an 800 m walk, suitable for baby strollers and wheelchairs with assistance. It runs along an itinerary marked as a botanical route and where the cave paintings of La Fenellassa, a World Heritage Site, belonging to Levantine schematic art, are found.

Arriving at the end of the first part of the excursion, in the Pla de la Mina del Parrizal, you can see the old facilities that were used to transport coal from the mines. The linear excursion begins from Pla de la Mina (round trip along the same path). After these 800 meters, we see a wooden walkway indicating that for an hour and a half we will go up the course of the river to its head, until we reach the Straits, two vertical stone walls 200 meters long, 60 meters high and in some points 1 meter wide.

The most difficult sections are equipped with wooden walkways with handrails to avoid swimming, since this is completely prohibited throughout the section. It is recommended to bring spare shoes in case we slip.
